Chinese School

When I was five, school was a stool trap.
I never liked school, like I’m stuck on a map.
It feels like prison lap after lap.
I was tied with ropes no matter where I napped.
Hate, hate, hate is a powerful slap.

Happy hopes have hate.
Happy memory will get lost,
Hateful memory will last forever.
Hatred will make you regret.
Hate, hate, hate remains.

When school started, I thought it was cool.
But when you trust your school, you will be a fool.
Don’t trust your school, and always stay cool.
Trust yourself and you will be free from the stool.
School, School, School will make you a weird tool.

IOC vs Public

Would you vote for Germany to host the 2018 Winter Olympic games or would you vote for South Korea to host the 2018 Winter Olympic games? At the time this article was written the IOC was already voting on which country would host the 2018 Winter Olympic games. The vote was between Munich and Pyeongchang. The writer thought that Pyeongchang would win.

On Wednesday July 6, 2011 the International Olympic Committee was having a vote for who would host the 2018 Winter Olympic games. The IOC was in Durban (South Africa). This voting would be a secret ballot (not for the public to know about, until they have decided who would host the 2018 Winter Olympic games). The public didn’t know who would win the ballot, but they did know the ballot was between Munich, Annecy and Pyeongchang.

Even thought the IOC was voting on three cities (Munch-Germany, Annecy-France and Pyeongchang- South Korea), the public knew that France was not going to win the ballot. The writer pointed out that if Munich won then Munich would host the Winter and Summer Olympic games. The writer never gave information about why France was not going to win, but the writer did gave a lot of other information about why Pyeongchang should win.

Furthermore, it seems that the writer agreed with the public because in his article he convinced his readers to agree with them. If Pyeongchang got to host the 2018 Winter Olympic games then Seoul would be more able to promote winter sports in Asia. An international women’s Olympic figure skating champion came from Pyeongchang. She tried to convince the IOC to let her home city host the 2018 winter Olympic games because Pyeongchang lost two times to other cites (and I think every other country had hosted a summer or winter Olympic games and it should be Pyeongchang’s turn to host the 2018 Olympic games).

The writer thought that Pyeongchang would win because an Olympic women figure skating champion tried to convince the IOC to let Pyeongchang host the 2018 Winter Olympic games. The IOC was planning to have a secret ballot to decide who would host the 2018 Winter Olympic games. Even though the vote was between three countries, the public thought that it was between Munich and Pyeongchang.

The EU is Wrong

I disagree with the people who want to lend money to Greece. The author of this article said, ”The agenda for the summit deals with the possibility of a second financial bailout.” I know I am young, but I don’t agree with the second financial bailout. I think that the EU shouldn’t help Greece because if you help them, they might borrow money and might not pay it back. Then the problem would never go away. In their emergency meeting on Thursday I think that the EU should make up new rules about borrowing money.

On Thursday there was an emergency meeting for the members of EU and they talked about Greece’s financial crisis and how to fix it. On Wednesday Germany and France had an emergency meeting where they talked about what they should do about Greece‘s financial crisis. France and Germany were hoping Greece would pay back the money that Greece borrowed from EU instead of defaulting.

Last year, the EU gave Greece a bailout (via the IMF). Greece borrowed money, but never payed it back to the EU or the IMF. Greece asked for another bailout for this year. It looks like Greece doesn’t know how to organize their money.

Since Greece couldn’t pay back the money, EU shouldn’t give more money to Greece. EU should let Greece stay in as a member of EU, but I think that EU should make up rules about letting people borrow money. These new rules should protect the non debt-ridden countries from the debt-ridden countries. The EU should make up some rules like once you borrow money you can’t borrow more money until you have finished paying back the money you borrowed.

As you can see, I strongly disagree with the people that are trying to help Greece pay back the money. Greece never did pay back any money to EU, and if EU did lend more money to Greece then the situation might never change. My solution is to let Greece stay in EU, but Greece do need to pay back all the money before borrowing any again. I would make up a rule about once you borrow money you can’t borrow money until you have finished paying back the money you borrowed.
