Play dough recipe

Preface
I chose this recipe for my friend, Jen, who had never made play dough. She wanted to do it with her daughter at home. This one is a bit simpler than other recipes.

Ingredients
1 cup salt
2 cups flour
4 tablespoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 cups water
food coloring

Instructions
Step 1. Take a saucepan and mix all the ingredients in it.
Step 2. Now heat the mixture with medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes. While heating, constantly stir the content until it becomes stiff.

Tip
If they are stored in the refrigerator, then the play dough will last for weeks or even months!

Veronica's tricks

My way of remembering is to write the information on my hand order to remember what to do and then when I get home I automatically go on my Gmail, iGoogle and my planner. If I don’t write it down somewhere I would forget it in a few minutes. If it was really important, I would grab my sticky notes and tape them where I can see them; for example, I tape them on my clock, my bathroom door and my mirror.

Camp Jubilee

Last week, our principal took the Grade 6s and 7s to Camp Jubilee. On the third day, at about 3:30 in the morning, someone woke me up and told me they saw two coasters -- these creatures are smaller then raccoons, stronger and smarter than a wolverine -- and a skunk beside our cabin. Apparently, a couple of girls in my cabin stayed up all night, and they sneaked out when they got the “snack attack”to get food. As they ran back, they woke everybody up and got on the second bunk. Suddenly, we saw the skunk blasting gas at the raccoons. We heard a really loud noise that sounded like burping and then the door suddenly opened and it was our principal that got blasted by the skunk.

On Tuesday, our principal asked the grade 6 and 7, Montessori program and the Neighborhood program to go to the gym for the Camp Jubilee meeting. When we got there we noticed that a few teachers will be going to camp with us. We noticed that in the gym different tables were set up. Our principal split us into two different groups. Our principal took my group to different tables and then the second group was taken by our vice principal to different tables explaining what will be going on at Camp Jubilee. The first station was table manners. At the second table we were talking about how to work together as a team in order to get the teacher's attention. The third table they told us we were going to have a survival test that includes rope climbing, kayaking, making a fire, catching fish and obstacle courses. Then our principal told us what to bring for camp and she gave us a sheet of paper explaining what will be happening in camp. The teachers told us to give our get wet certificate that we went to water mania for a swimming test to them on the day before we go to camp.

my week

My journal about my week of

This week my dad from Hong Kong came to Canada for 2 weeks. It maybe a little short but I am still happy about spending time with him. I haven't seen him for 8 months, so I went to the PNE with my family and my sister's boyfriend over the summer break. It was a disaster because my sister and my dad threw up on the rides, and I was scared of heights. But at the end, everybody had a lot of fun. Then my dad and mom and I went to North Vancover; we took the Canada line and the ferry to get there. My dad loved the hamburgers and sushi at the food court. My mom ate ice cream and drank lemonade, and these were the things I did with my family this week.

Laura: I will sent you another journal for next week until school starts. By the way, I always think about what will happen when schools starts. Will it be different or the same? I am just so nervous about the seventh grade. Bye Laura! By the way, maybe I will go to Seattle for two days. So, I might not get your Gmail, but when I get back I will email you. I promise.

summer camps the longer version

Hi! Over the second week I went to the Richmond Oval Camps. I joined the Get Wet camp where we do things like Dragon Boating at the UBC BoatHouse and more interesting things. So I will tell you about my journey at Get Wet. The first day in Get Wet, we did some games with other different camps. Then Get Wet and Get Skills (another camp) went for a walk to the UBC Boathouse. After we went Dragon boating we all went to the playground to eat lunch. After we ate we all played a game called grounders. Then after the game we and the Get Skills had to seperate because we were walking to minoru pool to swim, and play water sports. But eventually we only went to the hot tube because it was the only thing open and our instructer got the pool date wrong. Then we walked back and played more games. The rest of the week was like that too.

summer camps at the oval

Hi. On the first day of camp, I joined the camp Get Wet. The camp only had 4 people. Then we went to play some basketball to wait for others to arrive. After we walked with Get Skills to go Dragon Boat at UBC Boat House, I got super wet because of the people at the front. They were playing around on the boat. Then we ate lunch at the playground right next to the UBC Boat House. When we finished our lunch my camp went to minoru pool to play water polo. But our team leader got our schedule wrong so we only went to the hot tub. After we changed, we walked back to the Oval to play bump and gaga. Then it was time to go home.

I learned that on mac speech you need to speak loud and clear and you can rewrite your sentences.
